Step 1

- Application fee of $50 for Domestic and $50 for International Applicants.
- Original transcripts from all post-secondary institutions.
- The general Graduate Record Examination (verbal, quantitative and analytical). A subject exam is highly recommended. Official scores must be sent using 1898 as the institution code and 0210 as the program code. Scores must be received by February 1st to be considered for admission in the fall of the same year. Scores cannot be more than five years old at the time of the application.
- Applicants whose native language is other than English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

- Three letters of recommendation addressed to the Program Directors.
- A statement describing personal and professional reasons for pursuing a career in genetic counseling. Please limit the essay to 750 words, double-spaced.
