Having spent the last 4 years working in molecular pathology and clinical genetics, I wanted to pursue my PhD in a place where I could apply what I learned in hospital and commercial labs. I chose WSUSOM and CMMG because of their reputation of preparing talented, highly skilled scientists, and the breadth of projects and laboratories available with direct human applications. After my time here, I hope to return to return to the clinical sphere for a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Molecular Genetics.
