I am interested in systems-wide characterization of epilepsy-related diseases from molecular, histological and electrophysiological perspectives. My research focuses on a structural brain malformation, polymicrogyria (PMG).  More than 70% of patients with PMG also present with epilepsy, often necessitating surgical intervention.  These surgically resected tissues are the basis of my studies.
