| Pediatrics and Medical Genetics Residency WSU/DMC offers a Board-approved combined Pediatrics and Medical Genetics 5-year residency program. This integrated approach allows the resident to be eligible to sit for the Board-certifying examination in both Pediatrics and Clinical Genetics at the completion of their training. The combined program differs from the medical genetics residency in that the total genetics experience is 6 months longer than a primary genetics residency, allowing the combined trainee to have additional time to devote towards research or additional clinical training. The combined program also allows the trainee to utilize their pediatric and genetics training in an immediate integrated fashion. For a typical five-year schedule, click here.
