Admissions Information

The Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics grants admission to students with a superior record of achievement in their previous studies. Applicants generally hold a bachelor's or master's degree. Successful candidates are able to demonstrate potential for success at the graduate level, with signficant consideration given to an applicant’s grade point average, background in basic science, and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. A GRE subject test is recommended but not required. International students must show proficiency in English with a minimum TOEFL score of 600.

Please forward the following documents to the Graduate Officer at the address below:

  • A completed application
  • Personal statement of your goals and objectives for obtaining a Ph.D.
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Original transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • TOEFL (Institutional code: 1898. Departmental codes: 06 Genetics or

Financial Assistance
The Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics offers graduate research assistantships, which provide tuition, an annual stipend, and health insurance. No separate application is needed for financial aid.
