Sarah Austin graduated in 2015 with a BS in Biopsychology from Grand Valley State University. As an undergraduate, she gained advocacy experience working at a crisis home for individuals with psychiatric conditions. She also spent her time volunteering through Alternative Breaks, the Women’s Center, and as a peer leader for incoming freshman. Sarah was a member of the GVSU Pompon team for 3 years and held a leadership position on the team’s executive board. Since graduating, she worked as a substitute teacher and volunteered her time at Beaumont Cancer Genetics to gain more experience in the genetic counseling profession. In her free time, Sarah likes to explore new restaurants, hang out with her family and friends, and spend time outdoors.
